Waziri Danbatta appointed Head of NGO Cluster for Northwest

Waziri Danbatta, Alh. Mustapha Shehu, has been appointed as the Head of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Cluster for the Northwest, Nigeria.

In his acceptance statement, Waziri Danbatta expressed deep gratitude for the appointment, describing it as both an honour and a call to greater service. He pledged to carry out his duties with unwavering commitment and a profound sense of responsibility.

“I am deeply humbled by this appointment and the trust reposed in me to lead the NGO Cluster in the Northwest,” Danbatta said. “I accept this role with a strong resolve to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to address the pressing developmental challenges in our region.”

The NGO Cluster Northwest is a coalition of civil society organizations working on critical issues such as humanitarian aid, education, healthcare, and good governance across the seven states of the region—Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara.

Alh. Mustapha, a respected community leader, brings years of experience in advocacy and grassroots mobilization to the role. His appointment is expected to strengthen coordination among NGOs and enhance their impact in the region.

Stakeholders have congratulated him on the new role, expressing optimism that his leadership will foster greater synergy among development actors in the Northwest.

Waziri Danbatta has called for unity and cooperation among NGOs, government agencies, and international partners to achieve sustainable development in the region and Nigeria.
