KTSG saves billions, revamps RUWASSA fleet

in a move to cuts costs and boosts efficiency. The Katsina State Government has refurbished 25 broken-down RUWASSA vehicles, upgrading some to run on gas.

Beyond saving billions of naira in replacement expenses, the initiative has created jobs for hundreds of youths across all 34 local government areas, reinforcing Governor Dikko Radda’s drive for innovation and fiscal prudence.

With each new vehicle costing at least N100 million, the state would have spent a staggering N2.5 billion on replacements. Instead, the smart repair approach has freed up millions for other critical services benefiting Katsina residents.
