Akpabio returns from London, dismisses ill health report
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has returned to Nigeria after a brief vacation in London, assuring Nigerians that the Senate will resume from recess with renewed energy to tackle pressing national issues.
Arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, Akpabio was received by senators, aides, and supporters.
The Senate President, who had earlier attended the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva before proceeding to London, dismissed reports of ill health, describing them as unfounded.

“There’s nothing like that. I’m fit as a fiddle. I only stopped over in London for a short vacation,” Akpabio said.
He emphasized that under his leadership, the Senate would engage more robustly in legislative duties to improve governance and strengthen democracy.
Akpabio’s return sets the stage for an active parliamentary session as lawmakers prepare to reconvene.
