The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), has conducted a capacity-building workshop in Abuja aimed at deepening the understanding of the Group Life Assurance Policy among civil servants.
The training session brought together key representatives from ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to enhance the effective implementation of the policy, which is a crucial aspect of the Federal Government’s welfare programme for its workforce.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who was represented by Mrs. Oyekunle Patience, highlighted the pivotal role of insurance in providing financial protection for public servants and their families.

She praised President Bola Tinubu for the renewal of the annuity policy and commended NAICOM for its proactive role in organizing the workshop.
Delivering remarks on behalf of the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, the Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration, Mr. Ekerete Ola Gam-Ikon, lauded the inter-agency cooperation and reiterated NAICOM’s commitment to upholding transparency and accountability in the administration of the policy.
The workshop was designed to empower civil servants with the necessary knowledge and tools to access and manage the Group Life Assurance Policy effectively.
It also underscored the government’s ongoing efforts to prioritize the welfare and financial security of its employees.
