Waziri mourns deceased Kano athletes, Mokwa flood victims

Waziri Danbatta, Alh. Mustapha Shehu, has extended his condolences to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Emir of Kano, and the bereaved families of the 22 athletes who died in a tragic road accident.

In a condolence message shared with Daily Commerce on Tuesday, Alh. Mustapha described the incident as devastating and expressed his sympathy for the people of Kano.

Daily Commerce reported that the victims were returning from the National Sports Festival in Ogun State when the accident occurred, claiming the lives of all 22 passengers.

“We pray that Almighty Allah forgives their sins, grants them eternal peace, and admits them into Jannatul Firdaus,” Waziri Danbatta said.

In a related message, Waziri Danbatta also expressed his condolences to the Niger State Government and the people of Mokwa over the recent flood disaster, which resulted in loss of lives and property.

Alh. Mustapha extended his heartfelt prayers to the affected families, asking Allah (SWT) to grant them strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.

As the Ummah prepares for Eid celebrations, Waziri Danbatta prayed for a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually fulfilling Eid for all Muslims in Nigeria and beyond.

“May Allah accept our prayers, grant us peace, and continue to bless our nation,” he added.
