Nigeria’s revered Sufi leader Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi dies at 98

Nigeria’s prominent Islamic scholar and supreme head of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 98, RFI Hausa reports.

The source confirmed that the cleric is survived by multiple wives and more than 80 children. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced, with further details expected shortly.
