President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian legal practitioner, Mr. Tolu Obamuroh, on his elevation to the partnership of White & Case LLP, a leading international law firm headquartered in New York.
Obamuroh, who will assume his new role as a Partner in the firm’s International Arbitration Practice in Paris effective January 1, 2026, is the only Nigerian-qualified lawyer in this year’s global partner class. He is also one of just three new partners admitted globally in the practice area and the sole partner based in the firm’s Paris office.
A distinguished arbitration expert, Obamuroh has represented sovereigns and multinational corporations in complex cross-border disputes spanning the energy and infrastructure sectors. He also serves as a trusted adviser to the Government of Nigeria in several international arbitration cases under the supervision of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

Tinubu congratulated Obamuroh’s family, colleagues, and the wider legal community, urging young Nigerians to draw inspiration from his accomplishment.
According to the President, Obamuroh’s rise “proves that young Nigerians can lead globally through dedication, discipline, and service.”
